2:30am.
That’s what time this idea popped into my head. I suppose I was dreaming. Or maybe I was thinking in my sleep. None the less I was awake and as usual up for awhile. After Jotting down the idea that robbed me of my sleep, I pour a glass of milk, cuddle up next to Rudy (dog) on the couch and sit in the dark until the sandman returns. This of course took some time because I couldn’t stop thinking about the idea that woke in the first place. So here I am at the end of a very long day, the sleep robbing idea has been completed and photographed, cropped, edited and uploaded here for day 18. When I stand there and look at it, I’m not so sure as to why I had to lose sleep over it, but I did and by golly it will now have it’s time in the spotlight.
This little idea came to me in a completed vision. Always fun…then comes the task of finding all of the components and praying that I have them all to complete the design without spending any money. It’s kind of become a game with me. As luck would have it, I had everything that was needed.
It begins like this…
Believe it or not, there is a design there in that pile of stuff and your only seeing a fraction of it. You get to see the glamor shot, the rest of the cabinet is a disaster.
And here is what gave me bags under my eyes today…
If you’re scratching your head and wondering what the heck it is…then that’s me standing beside you.
I don’t know what it is either. Maybe that part will wake me up tonight.
I just call it the “beaded bell bouncy thingamajig”
Today the winds where gusting up to 30 mph, so I had to move inside to take photos
I’m not real great at taking photos when something is still, I was happy to get the one above without too much blur.
Complete with a mini clay pot bell that clinks when it moves.
and a little funkiness too.
That is what so fun about making things that just pop into your head. There are no boundaries and you can stretch your imagination has far or as little as you wish.
It’s fun to play with what materials you have on hand…go ahead and push those limits, have fun with your ideas.
It goes clink and boing-boing-boing…
and I think it’s fun and quirky…
even if I did lose sleep over it!

If you hang it by the front door and put a cowbell on the end, it could be used as a doorbell (to replace ours that doesn’t work!!) Cute idea and great way to use up extra beads.
