My Smile Friend

She makes me smile even when she’s not around

Just thinking of her funny sayings, makes me laugh out loud when no one is in the room

Do you have a friend like that?

She draws these all over her house 🙂

You can’t see them because they are inside the cabinets, draws…where ever you least expect it.  It wouldn’t surprise me if there was one on the inside of the toilet lid.

She’s just like that…she claims they make her smile when she sees them

Now every time I see a smiley face, I think of her.

We laugh a lot when we are together and we sometimes cry too…but that’s what friends do,

laugh with you and cry with you.

She says hilarious things like;

“Duh…Big Red Truck” when something is really obvious

that one is my fave!

or she’ll say;

“Who poo-pooed in their post toasties” when someone is rude or nasty to someone else

or she’ll tell you;

“Don’t get your panties in a wad” *giggle*

When I’m on my soapbox she always lightens my mood by asking me to tell her how I really feel.

She talks funny…but then she’s from Texas, we all talk funny.

She loves animals and bugs and she’s not squeamish.

She loves hamburgers and collects Coke memorabilia

She loves Lucy shows too!

We can go weeks without talking and pick up right where we left off in a blink

We hold each other accountable or we try 🙂

Coffee is a staple in her house too.

I love her.

Do you have a friend like mine?  I pray you do.  Everyone needs one.

but most importantly…

are you a friend like that?

I pray that I am.

Be sure and call your friend today and tell her or him…

“how you really feel”

it will make you both smile!

Blessings,

  1. She sounds amazing! My close friend is thousands of miles away in Africa. I miss her. =( We shared some moments like you mentioned while she was home on furlough…but I think it made me miss her more this time. =)

    Maybe she’ll be on Skype today, so I can tell her how much I love and appreciate her!

  2. I feel like scattered throughout my life are friends like this. I’m pretty much a 1 or 2 friend girl (at one time). That’s the anti-social part of me. I can pick up the phone and call my childhood friend or college friend or chiropractic school friend and chat like we never missed a moment. God is kind like that.
